Item Type Keyword Attribute?

Hi

Today we had some listings suppressed, the reason shown is shown as ‘Missing info’ Item Name (aka Title). The listings have titles.

When we goto the 'Why is my listing or offer not displaying? feature in seller help, it shows the message 'your listings ASIN is missing the ‘Item Type Keyword’ attribute.

We have looked through all the field names while the using the edit function but can’t see this anywhere. Reached out to SS who don’t know whats causing it but have raised it internally.

Also, downloaded a template upload sheet to see if it was on there and we found it listed on the example sheet but not on the actual template, so we can’t even experiment with a words. Also we can’t find the accepted values anywhere.

Anyone experienced this before and how did you resolve it?

(some of the effected ASIN’s have been live for over 3 years, so they aren’t new)

Hi Sential,

We have this issue. We have opened a case with Amazon Seller Support and are being told that our items are missing ‘category’.

"Your listing is not currently assigned to a product category. Therefore, it is not searchable on Amazon. To update your category, complete the below steps.

  1. On the Manage Inventory page, click the Edit button next to the product you want to fix.
  2. Toggle the ‘Advanced View’ to on
  3. Select tab ‘More Details’
  4. Locate the ‘Category’ attribute and click edit to assign a category"

When we follow these steps there is no attribute called ‘Category’!

Have you been able to resolve your issue?

We still have problem with ‘Item Type Keyword’ Attribute - we put specific item type in item type attribute (more details) however it was no help :confused:

As for category - you can try going in vital tab, there you should find Recommended Browse Nodes - that’s the category in other words, maybe there you can change it to correct one? Just click Edit and search for desired category :slight_smile:

I had this problem too, seller support were of no help giving me a run around.

I ended up moving the category to something completely different (was originally in stationary for instance, I moved it to home) I had tried moving it around sub categories but only when I moved the entire base category did it become searchable again and sales picked up - I ended up leaving my product there as it would have been ok in either category, but I guess I could have moved it back afterwards.
