Model Number and Manufacture details missing
I’ve finally completed the Brand Registry process and ready to list my products.
However, I’ve been asked to provide the Manufacture Model Number and the Manufacture name.
I buy my products from a wholesaler near my house and he has told me that he cannot locate these details.
Is there any way around this? Can I put my own company/brand as the manufacturer and create a model number online? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Also, in terms of the External Product ID, I was able to get GTIN exemption but are there any benefits of getting a GTIN for my products?
Many thanks.

I would have thought the wholesaler would be able to supply both of these. Normally the manufacturer name and the model number are printed on the product, have you checked to see if this is the case?
I would be a little bit wary of a wholesaler who didn’t know who manufactured the products. If you have a counterfeit complaint and need to prove a valid supply chain I don’t see how you can do this if you are missing these details
If you have applied for Brand Registry is this for your own brand, if so are you rebranding someone elses product or creating your own product.

Just remember that once you call yourself the manufacturer and brand owner on a listing, you become responsible for all safety, labelling tests and checks on your product
Have you got all that in place - especially going by your forum name
