ID verification links not working

Amazon's last response is as follows:

To reactivate your account, take one of the following actions to complete your identity verification:

-- Take a photo of your face and ID document using the Seller Central ID document photo service. This feature allows you to complete your identity verification in about 2 minutes and is available anytime.

-- Join a video call with an Amazon associate and show them the original documents that you provided when you registered your account.

This identity verification is required as an enhanced security measure.

Both of these links do not work for me, not sure if it has anything to do with it but I am applying for a UK store not a US one. I also never successfully opened an account in the first place, my account was deactivated during the set up.

I am then stuck in an endless loop when trying to get support, when writing a message into the appeal point on seller central I'm told to contact support (automatic response). When contacting support I get another automatic response telling me to go through seller central... Not sure where to go from here.

Any help is much appreciated.

All new accounts are deactivated whilst they check and verify all the personal and business info you have provided - this can take time with so many new sellers registering every day.

You will need to complete the ID verification in one of those ways - and others have reported that it is via the US even though you only want to sell in UK.
