Is someone trying to hack me?

I’ve been getting LOTS of fishing emails from “Amazon” to an email address I exclusively use for Amazon saying I need to verify my account.

Early this morning I had on OTP text message with a login code. Is someone trying to hack me? Do they already have my password to get as far as the OTP?

Check your Seller Account. If they are genuine messages from Amazon they will be there. Also if your account if under verification you will have a red banner across your page with links to verify from there. If not report the messages to Amazon. I would wait and see before entering an OTP until you are sure it’s from Amazon

Whatever the cause, best change your password immediately if you haven’t already done so. If you got an OTP, they probably have your password.

It’s actually far more likely that the OTP email you have received, is just another scam email.
I get similar on a regular basis.
Double check it and if you are 100% sure, that it is actually from Amazon, then make sure you change your password.
But an awful lot of them can look like they are, so that they direct you elsewhere to put in your details.
And then, take over your account.

I’m constantly getting verify emails and your item has been deleted, funny thing is I don’t sell sex mascara, you’d think they would change their emails from time to time.

if you are concerned that someone has your login details, then log in from secure device (ipad or apple phone - apple technology is far less likely to have virus in it) and change password from there.

It is better to be safe than sorry

I did change my password and had a look at my items. I currently only have 3 listing so it didn’t take long :joy:

I have literally just had another phishing “Your Seller Account is under review” scam mail.

How many people are selling “sex mascara” to make it worth a bulk email :joy: Maybe I should get some in! Can anyone give me their supplier details and tell them to give me a big discount :joy:

I get several dodgy emails a week. It’s surprising just how many things need verifying with Amazon, they want you to constantly click on weird links to check things.
I treat every email from Amazon as fraud until it can be proved otherwise!

I got the same and deleted it.
I never follow links within emails.

I don’t even think mine was addressed to me, I think it went straight to the body of the message.
Genuine messages should show in your account notifications.

I get them all the time too and as with you to an email address that has only ever been exclusively used for my seller account (Different from my buyer account). I am convinced this is due to the data leak Amazon experienced last year and have refused to disclose details of to their sellers.
