How do I create a product description in bold and italics with line breaks?

I am wondering how to create a product description in bold and italics with line breaks. In the past, I have used HTML coding; however, HTML coding is apparently no longer accepted by Amazon. Any advice?

HTML code is not allowed in descriptions by Amazon with the exception of the < /BR > tag.
