Live Images Changed by Amazon

A number of our listings “live on amazon” images have been changed by the amazon system? Even though we have uploaded toe correct image.
We sell clothing, and our products have a number of colours/sizes variations.
But for some reason Amazon is using images from completely different ASIN for some variations as in theyre words “It is a better image to be shown” even though it is now showing the wrong product image for the wrong title/SKU.
Has anyone experienced this and has a quick fix? As Amazon support just say:
“This is not an issue to fix, the system is working as intended, we cannot change the system algorithm.”
So when customers receive a different item to expected this then falls on me.
Any advise would be appreciated?
