Can anyone tell me what PARAGON is?

I have a SAFE-T claim open over a returned item. I do not have any record of the item being returned to my warehouse. I have followed the tracking provided by Amazon and it shows that the delivery was made to my warehouse by Royal mail in NOVEMBER 2022 That is 9 months BEFORE the original order was placed. Strange. So I have ask Amazon to review the refund and their answer is:

We have denied your reimbursement request for order 203-0737842-xxxxxxx
Why is this happening?
The buyer returned the items to you using carrier Royal mail and tracking QY388683340GB.
The return tracking shows delivered in 2022 in carrier website. However in paragon it show - Delivered-Delivery Address, LATDMS on 07/07/2023 11:56 BST.

I have asked Amazon what Paragon is and they have said the case is closed and they will not reply to any more messages regarding the case…Real first class 5 star customer service right there!!
I accept that I will get no where chasing this with Amazon but does any one know what Paragon is? Just so I can rest my mind
Thanks

Paragon on a google search appears to be a consignment tracking software - so you can infer that this is the tracking software amazon use internally.

In your issue though, one assumes you’d not win a Safe-T claim anyway, as for items lost in the post, you are supposed to claim via the courier.

Oh and should add this magic of Royal Mail Tracking codes retaining a previous delivery appear to be an issue that is exclusive to amazon return labels.

Not the exclusive features we want to see Amazon.

Hello IQI_shop

It’s recently been reported in these forums that Royal Mail has been reusing tracking numbers from quite a while ago on recent items…

Contacting RM might help clarify

Thank you both for your replies. I did not think to look on Google. I had searched on Amazon but there was nothing.
I have made my peace with my loss… However the inconsistency I experience on a regular basis, some times in my favour, I can not rest easy with.
Thank you for our help

This is weird. How can there be software that can get tracking information that the Royal Mail system doesn’t have?

At a guess, this solves what software Amazon are using to validate unscanned labels for VTR purposes.

Paragon is bill or some document (normaly hand writing form) about bueyed or selled comodity.
It is old name, was used in history or it can be used if electronical system is off. I think they asking some document from you .

Paragon in this case is SAAS (Software) which carries out logistics functions. I was involved in it many moons ago, on a demo of its vehicle routing software, so may have expanded into tracking of consignments as well. FI, the software was very poor at anomalies such as taillift delivery, special times, lunches etc etc, so we never implemented it, because of the glitchy nature of it.
