Product Compliance Certificate Request

Hello all.
Amazon just requested to provide a compliance certificate for the product that I selling.
I was trying to get this from the supplier but I couldn’t.
There is an option that I can appeal this compliance requirement if I am not able to supply the requested document, or if I believe I received this document request in error. Now I would like to find out if there is any point to appeal? And if yes what is the grounds for appeal?
