FBA Dangerous Goods Programme - Sending in a UK Shipment

I have been approved for the FBA Dangerous Goods programme. Not sure when, but the page tells me I am already approved.

I have a shipment which I created that contains items such as nail polish, shampoo, deodorant, etc. Amazon have put all the items into one shipment, but require me to now choose a courier. My box weighs 20kg. I am sending it to a UK prep centre from my location in the UK. I have a few questions:

  1. Is there a preferred courier to use to send this shipment?

  2. Will Amazon provide the labels or do I arrange these myself through the courier directly?

  3. Do I have to do any special prep to the box? E.g. labels, etc. I have prepped the items themselves according to the requirements.

Thanks!

  • Is there a preferred courier to use to send this shipment?

UPS is the prefered carrier - though you will need to check that none of your products are prohibited as lots of couriers won’t handle aerosols.

  • Will Amazon provide the labels or do I arrange these myself through the courier directly?

When you have finalised the Courier - assuming it is one of the partnered carriers - you will pay Amazon for the shipment and they will provide the labels for you to print. If you choose a non partnered carrier and arrange the payment direct then the courier will provide the labels for you to print.

Don’t forget to actually arrange the collection with the courier as well - Amazon will not do this for you.

  • Do I have to do any special prep to the box? E.g. labels, etc. I have prepped the items themselves according to the requirements.

If you have selected manufacturer barcodes then you don’t need to label anything, if you have selected seller labelled then you will need to label them.

Have a look through Seller University to make sure everything has been done correctly, or you could end up with refused/damaged stock.

may I ask how long you have waited to be approved for the DGP? and are you an experienced seller or fairly new?
