new manage inventory - end of my Amazon selling?

I sell used books and cds on Amazon, have done since 2003 - this new manage inventory may well be the end to my Amazon selling, as I use the date order of the existing manage inventory for stock location(ie being able to refer to what else was listed on or around the same day. Unless I am missing something, with the new manage inventory this does not seem possible, consequently unless I do a complete stock take and re-organisation(which would take months) I will be struggling to locate items when orders come through.

I would be surprised if I am the only person using date order for stock location

Any thoughts or suggestions, or pointers to what I am failing to see in my brief perusal of the new system

Many thanks

Do you mean the date you added it to your Inventory?

You should still be able to revert to the old layout until the end of the month, at least.

There are some improvements with the new format but on the whole I find it slow and less intuitive .

One of the worst aspects is that the inventory pages 'spawn' as you scroll. The old format loaded the whole list in one go.

I was in the habit of using browser search to find individual words or terms on the page but that doesn't work in the new layout.

[That's similar to the scrolling method used in this forum - due to 'infinite scrolling', searching threads is not really possible using browser search, even though the browser search engine is generally much better than the forum's own search.]

Another annoyance with the new inventory layout - it spreads columns out across the screen which would be ok if you have a widescreen monitor but I'm currently using a square one which means I either have to reduce the text size to near invisibility or keep scrolling across the screen to get to the edit button.

The edit button, even more annoyingly, is now out of sight on the far right of the screen and hidden under the three dots / hamburger style menu link.

It's also harder/less intuitive to arrange by listing date &c.

Hi Trickmeister1.

We do not use date sorting but we do have all of our listings as variations, it appears that now this new format automatically expands all listings meaning nothing makes any sense anymore, it is not as if they are even expanded in order of the original groupings. As far as i can see there is no way to display in variation groups which makes a complete mockery of the variation listing options in the first place!

Much like you, this is now going to put a lot of strain on managing inventory!

Remember the good old days on Amazon which is what attracted us all in the first place, list, sell, receive funds, repeat. The amount of loops we have to jump through now extends ever more so each year (scratch that, month!)

Good luck, we also feel your pain!

I have just had a real quick look. I am sure you can sort by date created

Hi, my issue is, I want to delete active listings by a date range, when I open all filters, that option is there, but when I put a date range in, it comes up with no items, but if i search each item indivdually, they are in my stock. Old system worked no problem!
