Supply invoices for Sony brand but I have never listed/sold Sony items
I have received an email from Amazon telling me to supply invoices for my branded listing by 5th September and failure to do so will mean the listing is removed.
The brand in question is Sony. However I only sell jewellery and gifts, I have never listed any Sony items and none of my items refer to Sony.
The email says "If you believe that we have misidentified your products, submit a dispute via the ‘View Selling Applications’ dashboard in Seller Central." I have gone there and there is not mention of Sony.
I have tried to raise a case but the form keep asking for an ASIN or SKU, but I can't give one as the email does not mention one.
Any advice please?

Same her. I sell clothing in the UK only, I do not sell Sony, HP, Canon or KÉRASTASE - yet have just recieved emails from amazon. es and amazon.de saying I need to supply supplier invoices for these brands - which I do not and never have sold - and which have no reference on any of my listings.

It's not something that will affect account health - basically they're just saying certain brands will be restricted that date and associate you with them. If you don't sell them then no action is needed.

Just to add to the others that have had this. I've had it for various EU stores which I no longer sell on, and today had it for the UK store for the following:
dyson PHILIPS Samsung Canon HP
Never sold any of those.
God knows where they get their info. I suspect the AI is being a little too sensitive and flagging too many, and a badly worded email ( Our review has identified potential customer complaints, authenticity concerns, or violations associated with your listings. ) is making it sound more personal than it is.
Near impossible to work out which listings it's talking about, but I suppose I'll find out on the 17th, or more likely never hear about it again.

Had the same email (I've never sold the Brands they mentioned in the email) ...for a company that surely must have one some of the talented IT Geeks & Programmers on the planet, they sure fall short of the mark for being slick with who they send out messages to...it ought to be easy (& I speak here as someone who has had to learn about databases as part of being a slick online retailer - by no means a wizard), to identify those sellers who have actually sold or who are selling the Brands named .....& only message them (oh, and actually telling them the ASINs involved!)
Same with the "you need to update the Country of Origin' before such & such a date...they don't think to tell me the affected ASINs in the message...meaning I have to go & download the category listings reports for UK & all EU sites.
come on Amazon...you can do better

It's not the first time they've done this - it happened to us a few months ago, again referring to brands we didn't sell - we ignored it and that was the last we heard of it.

Well, September 11 2025 has arrived and it is not good news.
Today's the day when many CD and vinyl sellers are discovering that a huge chunk of their stock has been removed from sale on Amazon.
