FBA Shipment ID Labels on each unit box even though on pallet?

Hi there, I hope someone can help.

Previously we would send our FBA shipments by putting each unit onto pallets and then applying the pallet labels. Each unit box is individual (sellable unit with the barcode on).

Now with the new work flow, we have had an alert on our last shipment saying we need to put a FBA shipment ID label on each box. As we send individual units and not case packed, does this really mean we have to put another shipment label on each unit - we send in hundreds of boxes on a pallet each time.

I understand other people have had issues with this so hoping someone has a workaround or solution?

Appreciate any help in advance.

Assuming that they are packed as single units, then you only need to place the FNSKU label on the boxes.
If there is more than 1 item in a box, then you have to put a box label on.

Hi @NEil, thanks for your reply.

Yes each box is 1 unit that has our manufacturers barcode. Why has Amazon said we need to put shipment id label on each box now? and looking at there guides and the shipment alert, it mentions that even if packing individual units onto a palet, it need to have the shipment label.

On another note, we are trying to get SIOC approved by Amazon as each box is ready to go without needing another amazon box, not sure if this is related or not.

Hi,
We are facing the same problem. We never apply for SIOC.
Have you found a solution? It’s really trouble if we put a box label on each product.

Hi @NEil Do you not get any shipment alerts? its on the amazon shipping policy pages and I’ve attached a screenshot of the message, I’ve highlighted where it says individual units even on pallets must have shipping id labels even if on a pallet - the reason they give is so they can identify the boxes once de palletised.

Hi @NEil so on our last shipment for example we sent: 20 skus-447 units in 447 boxes in 3 pallets

We created case packs templates for each SKU and put in 1 unit per box along with weight dimensions etc please see screenshot - the second screenshot shows 3 of the sku’s confirmed as 1 unit per box (e.g 30 units, 30 boxes).

I cant remember why we selected case pack instead of individual but I think it was that it would then take us to the 1.b section, where it asked us provide box weight and dimensions for every box (unit) and then further label which one was which etc
