⭐ Minimize Returns: Image & Detail Page Success Guide
Dear Sellers,
Every product return impacts your bottom line through shipping costs, processing time, and potential inventory depreciation. More importantly, high return rates can affect your account health metrics and seller performance ratings.
High return rates are often a result of customers receiving different items from what they expected. Here's how to prevent this through better images and descriptions:
⭐ Image Tips to Prevent Returns:
- Show accurate size, colour, and scale
- Include clear photos of all important product features
- Don't include accessories not included with the product
- Ensure images match the actual product being shipped
- *Use multiple angles to show product completely
- For clothing, show fit and fabric details clearly
📝 Detail Page Tips to Reduce Returns:
- Write clear, accurate titles without exaggeration
- List exact measurements and specifications
- Highlight any limitations or restrictions
- Be specific about what's included in the package
- Use bullet points to highlight key features
- Clearly state size/fit information if applicable
🚫 Common Return Triggers to Avoid:
- Misleading images showing unincluded items
- Vague or missing product measurements
- Unclear product specifications
- Inaccurate colour representation
Key Point: Accurate product representation helps customers make informed purchase decisions, reducing return rates.

Do you understand how listing products on Amazon works???? You cant just change listings at whim (unless you are brand owner/ only seller), you dont own listings its a catalog system.... on top of which Amazon will randomly change listings to make them utterly misleading and incorrect and not even tell you what they did, leaving sellers to clean up the mess and take the financial fall (as usual)

Another major problem with listing USED books and media on Amazon is one I outlined in this earlier thread:
https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/seller-forums/discussions/t/44d5dc06-0b4f-4612-abe3-9a74ccb9d9d8?
The 'Details' link in the buy box for condition notes hasn't been working for many weeks past. Listing images are also not showing (and never have).
The only way to see the condition details is to check the link to
Other sellers on Amazon New & Used from...
below the buybox and go through the entire list of used offerings.
I doubt most buyers are aware of this and even if they are, the link to 'Other sellers' is also partly broken and doesn't work at all on many listings .
Having to go that convoluted route to see the condition details also completely undermines having ownership of the buybox for 'used'. It can make it worse than useless for items that differ significantly in condition from 'new'.

you only let the brand owner change the images, and they do not do it. They change the packaging but dont update the images. see asin B00L4ACGJ8 for example. Packaging does not look like that any more. I have uploaded the correct image, but amazon has not changed it.

If Amazon wants to minimise returns, here's an easy two step process that is guaranteed to reduce returns by over 90%:
1) Stop requiring fashion items to offer seller funded returns for buyers.
2) Stop advertising that items have free returns available, both on the product page and by email follow ups that remind the buyer that their window to return an order is about to close.

Thank you for sharing your ongoing challenges with listing updates. I hear your frustration - I know many of you have raised these concerns multiple times, and it's discouraging when you can't easily fix listing inaccuracies that affect your business.
While I know the process isn't always smooth and updates can sometimes be rejected, please continue to report these issues to Seller Support for review. We're collecting your feedback to help understand the scope and impact of these challenges on sellers.
You can find guidance on submitting listing updates in our help page: Suggest changes to your product detail page

It doesn't help when the system automatically merges ASIN's that are for different products. It then assigns ASIN's to images that are completely different.
This leads to customers receiving something different to the image displayed. This in turn results in negative feedback and increased returns.
Most times seller support can't help to undo a merger. Sellers should have more authority over own branded ASIN's that are merged incorrectly.

What Amazon could do to help.
Train some people to be able to change things with common sense.
Allow them to be contacted directly bypassing Seller Support who are about as usless as the proverbial chocolate teapot when it comes to correcting anything.
If your not bored of looking at examples

Title Patterns by Annie Bag and Tote Pattern Large
Title should be Patterns ByAnnie Divide and Conquer
Now the brand was also entered incorrectly by whoever set this up and ByAnnie the company do not sell through amazon so when you try to get these mistakes corrected the staple reply is oh your not the Barnd/Trademark" despite providing all the evidence we wont change anything.
When an issue is as obvious as this you really should bnot have to try and fail jumping through all the hopes. 20 trained people could probably manage 50 corrections a day thats a 1000 a day of simple corrections to YOUR catolouge that will bring in more sales as people can find the item which means more money for Mr Bezo and more money for us sellers.
tried to upload a pic but your upload iappears to be not working
