Updating Product Information

Hello,

We are trying to update our product information in order to boost sales and when filling out the information suggested by Amazon we get the following code on the Product ID section:

“Product ID : The value ‘05056175007721’ specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value ‘05060139215701’ for ASIN Z in the Amazon catalogue. If this is ASIN ‘B00EJMUOM4’, update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc).”

We have tried to contact Amazon directly about this but they have stated that they would need to see invoices for the appliances to check the barcode. However, there is around 400 items with this issue and we do not wish to send 400 invoices over.

Can anyone suggest anything/ comment so we can try to resolve the issue?

Are you trying to update the product identifiers? Editing this attribute is only possible by opening a case with the Seller Support and providing proof to support the desired changes.

I have a similar issue in that the EAN is already registered as an incorrect size, I have raised this seller support and provided everything asked. Unfortuntely the promised few days to sort is now into its 3rd week…

Are you able to provide a spreadsheet with all the changes required and provide the best photo proof you can of one product?

We sympathise with you trying to update ASINs, but doing so can cause many problems for other sellers ! We have had several problems recently where ASINs have been duplicated - we list an item with an ASIN , the buyer buys a different item with the same ASIN, we send our item … and hey ho it is the wrong item !!! Amazon couldn’t care less (no change there then !) even though it is their responsibility to maintain their own catalogue integrity. So please be careful !
