Newly created my 1st seller account, deactivated after 20mins
Hi all, I created my 1st seller account this morning. After about 20mins, it got deactivated. Stating that Amazon need more proof of ID. I have appealed by sending in a council tax statement with my address on, my partner has all the utility bills addressed to him. Will this be enough to get my account reactivated? And how long will this process take? Thanks

Hi
the current timing for verification as noted here on the forums is several weeks to a few months.
Keep an eye on your performance notifications just in case they ask you for anything else
Hope that helps

Thanks for the reply. That’s a really long time, didn’t think it would take so long. Thanks again

Is the bill also in YOUR nae or just in your partners name?
If not in your name then no, it will not suffice.
Also you need to ensure that the details on Amazon and the details on the bill are an EXACT match.
Initials on one but full name or only one name on the other will be a fail as the details don’t match.

I would take the time to contact all your utility providers and ask that they change the account holder name to yours, and generate a new bill. Some will be more willing/able than others.
You will need to ensure it says your name only, in exactly the same format as your name showing in the Identity Information section of seller central, for example Mr A. B. Smith is not the same as Andrew Smith, nor is it the same as Mr A B Smith (every character must match).
