goods were refunded but never returned to the sender.

Amazon automatically refunds returned goods. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about it.

But if I open SAFET, they state that the package was lost while being sent.

Therefore, I have to pay it back and there is no compensation.

But tell me to complain to the Royal Mail for compensation.

The problem with this is that in this case I am not the sender and thus I have no right to ask for compensation.

The customer who did not return the goods was not interested in helping.

Again, there is an unfair Amazon approach.

Regarding one of the packages, the customer service of royal amil was able to help by checking the status of the package. And they say it never made it to the Royal Mail, so this package didn't disappear. The buyer swallowed the money and the goods. I don't even know how Amazon realized that the package was lost.

But Amazon doesn't care about the truth

If the parcel was never sent, has the customer actually been refunded as it should be refund on first scan by royal mail

assuming this is using an Amazon prepaid return label check the Return in question in Manage Returns .What is the actual status of the return?

you are correct that it’s a nice little racket that Amazon and Royal Mail/Evri have put together against sellers so sellers can’t claim via Amazon or the courier.

You can if you wish opt out of Amazon prepaid return labels to stop refund at first scan and take control of returns. Just ask seller support.

Do note this means you personally have to approve relevant returns though.

The returns can be very tricky. We had a refund yesterday made to a customer, but we have no idea why or what happhappened and oobviously no one to talk to.

customers are able to scam by sending an empty package or defacing the shipping label. as long as its sent, customer gets a refund right? and you cant claim compensation from royal mail because you did not arrange for the item to be returned, its automated through amazon and costs are deducted from your account.

Amazon have no incentive to analyse anything except by BOT - they make the seller responsible for everything when obviously they are not. Amazon expect you to give up sooner or later (I am sure you will, too) - and then they call it 'good service .. problem solved'.
