SAFE T claim denied wrongly

Amazon you have excelled yourselves on this one. Customer claimed they had been incorrectly charged for 2 items, when they said they only purchased 1. I replied stating it was not possible to charge a customer for an item they did not purchase, likely they purchased from 2 different sellers in error, but they could take it up with Amazon in case Amazon had invoiced incorrectly. Not surprisingly the customer did not reply to my message.

Just received a return from them, it is a different item, and they included the invoice which is from a different seller. As suspected the customer did in fact purchase a similar item twice, but have returned a different item to me than the one sent. I sent all required information including the serial number of the wrong item which I have never stocked or sold. Just to make this SAFE T claim even more easy to accept (you would think), the item returned is in fact an item which is exclusive to Amazon, so only Amazon should be selling it. Yet they still refuse my SAFE T claim. Honestly the mind boggles. Don't have the time or energy to deal with this. If only Amazon had some people to look into this rather than a bot or someone who does not read the claim. SAFE T claim 64694-87239-9907048

amazon is the biggest scam and fraud of this century , all seller will learn this soon.

in near future amazon will be in books of law as case study.

amazon is involve in all crimes by their buyers as amazon built this community to have more traffic.

amazon created this platform to be hell for sellers and heaven for buyers where buyers have free products , refunds and sellers have threats by amazon , amazon deactivating account with holding all money, sell on amazon is same like you doing a third class job where you have no respect

You wouldn't ever catch me saying that to a customer. We have no way of knowing if this is true or not.

What I would say is:

"Hi. Unfortunately the payment system is managed by Amazon and we have no way of interacting with it. I can see from our order records that you ordered x number of y item, for amount z. (I'd probably include a snipping tool snip of the order details page).

If this isn't the amount you've been charged then I'm afraid you'll have to contact Amazon customer services to query the charge. I recommend checking your order history to make sure the order wasn't duplicated with another seller who is selling the same item, in which case you'd just need to request that one of the orders is cancelled from the order details page to get refunded.

Sorry I can't be more help,

Kind regards

A"

This is the worst. If the value was high enough, you can look into taking Amazon to small claims court. They never should have been allowed to implement refund on first scan. It boggles the mind that that is legal (if it even is).

A £200 product was returned damaged; the buyer used their own carrier, got compensation from them, and then requested a full refund from Amazon. The SAFE-T claim team denied reimbursement without explanation, and there is no way to question their decision. This is almost 5th claim from this team to deny without any reason. This poor service is going to lead us to stop being a Prime fulfilment seller. What is point being into this program and have limited carrier options, pay high rates to the prime carriers, fulfil the order as a priority and then pay the customers from our pocket.
