Finding customer's VAT id

Where can I find a business customer’s VAT id? I need it to generate invoices for business customers in the UK.

Amazon VAT Transactions Report only includes details for the previous month.
Amazon Fulfilled Shipments Tax Invoicing did not include VAT ids.
I cannot use the automated tool to generate invoices because Amazon changed my UK VAT status to rejected. I have a valid VAT id in another country.

I don’t believe you need a buyer’s VAT number to issue an invoice.

As for Amazon rejecting your UK VAT status but you having VAT in another country, i don’t really know what you’re trying to say. Are you saying you don’t have VAT registration in the UK but do somewhere else?
