“Best Cosmetic Brands to Sell on Amazon – Advice from Experienced Sellers”
Hello Sellers,
I run a UK-based beauty eCommerce business (skincare, face, body, and hair care) and sell on Amazon, my website, eBay, and TikTok Shop. I’m looking to expand my product range and want advice on high-demand, reputable cosmetic brands that sell well on Amazon.
Some details:
Focus on authentic, high-quality products
Prefer brands that are easy to source from authorized distributors
Interested in skincare, face creams, moisturizers, and haircare
I would love to hear from experienced sellers:
Which cosmetic brands have performed well for you on Amazon?
Are there brands that are better for solo items vs multi-packs?
Any tips on avoiding authenticity complaints when selling popular beauty products?
Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Do you honestly expect any sellers are going to tell you that so you can set up in competition with them?

No competitor is going to give you the benefit of their experience, that's hard earned and often an expensive learning curve they've had to go through so won't be giving up that info for free. Suppliers will also be well guarded secrets.
That said, some of the information you're asking for is freely available on Amazon anyway, to see the best seller in a category, look at any product page in the category, scroll to 'Product Information', open 'Item Details' and you'll usually find the 'Best Seller Raking' which you can open and see the best sellers (often top 100) for free. Beyond that there's software (usually not free!) available that'll offer more in depth analysis.
Getting ungated to sell those items is another matter entirely!
Authenticity shouldn't be a problem if you're buying from genuine suppliers in the country you aim to sell the products in and have done your due diligence of establishing supply chain back to the brand before completing the purchase. The formulation of beauty products can vary from market to market so your supply will need to be market specific. There is usually one or two people a week coming to the forums having lost their Amazon account due to buying from other marketplaces such as Quogita rather than from genuine wholesale suppliers so don't fall into that trap.

Hi @Seller_Ph6ScimxT1hbm,
Appreciate you starting this thread! While I don't have specific recommendations for products to sell, I wanted to share a couple important resources to reference as you're sourcing products:
- Guidelines to source products to sell on Amazon - Best practices for finding authorized suppliers
- Invoices for Selling Applications - Invoice requirements for applications to sell products that require approval
- Apply to sell a product, category, or brand - Learn what approval requirements, documents, and steps you need to successfully list products, categories, and brands on Amazon
- Categories and products that require approval - Check which beauty categories need pre-approval
If you have any questions on these policies, please let me know.
All the best,
Jameson
