Amazon diverting FBM returns to FBA Fulfilment Centre? So where is OUR PROPERTY now?
How ridiculous. If I diverted someone else's property to myself without authorisation, it would bring criminal charges!
We ONLY use FMB, no FBA products whatsoever.
Customer opens a return, no issues with the product, just not what they expected. So, no fault of the product or the service, and Amazon issues a returns label.
The item doesn't arrive with us, so no refund has been issued yet. The customer then opens an A-Z claim for non-refund. We investigate and find no record of the item returning to us, and the Amazon tracking shows "Item in FC warehouse"
The A-Z claim is then granted, seller-funded, and we're expected to be thankful that Amazon has oh so graciously not counted it on our ODR,
So, we have no goods and no money! And a product is kicking around an FBA warehouse until it's presumably sold off in a mixed pallet deal by Amazon. Why on earth should we have to fund the A-Z claim when none of this is our fault, and Amazon has diverted a parcel that should be sent to us, and that is not Amazon's property at all, to their own warehouse?
It may only be £40, but there's a principle at stake here. If Amazon is doing this just once to each seller, that's a LOT of money.
Amazon has no business sending FBM parcels to its own premises! And whilst errors occur, when this is raised in the A2Z claim, to say "OK, we'll not give you an ODR but we're taking the money from you" is outrageous when we know that there's absolutely zero chance of them locating that parcel and sending the product back to us for resale.

Hi there @Seller_DtCmrKGDOhXgr.
I'd like to look into this further; can you share any case numbers you've opened with support that I can research?
