Hi, we have had this problem on several occasions over the last couple of months, in fact we actually had an entire listing taken over and merged to a completely different product. And a competitor’s product merged into a different one of ours as well.

Go into the back end of your listing, and you may see your original product shots and also the new product shots there. Screenshot that now, as proof to Amazon as to what your original images were. It makes it easier to explain to them as you can show them.

You need either the brand registry team or the catalogue team to solve this so push seller central to forward it on to them. I’d strongly suggest checking your entire listing on the back end. If nothing else has changed apart from the images, screenshot your ASIN, SKU and FNSKU to provide proof this is your original product. When our product was taken over, the ASIN changed as well and gradually everything else. Luckily I had screenshots of the original listing details, and was able to prove my ASIN and product as Seller central were telling me there hadn’t been a merge when there clearly had been.

Hope this is of some help

We had this issue a short while ago. We sell personalised greeting cards and one of our cards was taken over and there was an image of some handheld Nintendo console in its place. We could click on the listing and it would be there but with a different image !!
We contacted SS and we had to provide the EAN/ASIN as well as proof that we were using an authentic barcode so had to send them the certificate we get when we purchase barcodes showing that code in the batch as well as a picture of our product with our brand showing on it. Once all of this was sent to them the item was reinstated. You may have to go through a similar process. I did it via the help section without having to ring them and I think it was under a category something like item pictures …cant quite remember !
Good luck, hope you get it sorted.

Hi Everyone
I had this problem too. Apart from changing all the photos, they managed to squeeze some of their info in my bullet points and description. The brand name is called Fleebs ( flea and tick collar) and completely irrelevant to what I’m selling. Getting it removed was a nightmare but it was a success after several attempts. I googled the brand and found out that it was a Chinese company. it may be a new tactic they’re using to launch a new brand; hijacking our best sellers listings. As mentioned, it is useful to have a copy of your original photos and even your bullet points in case this was to happen again.

Sounds like someone trying to hijack your listings.

Amazon don’t seem to do what they should so try to change as soon as you see anything happening as I’ve literally lost listings that I’ve had going for a long time with ratings etc because Amazon will not undo the amended rubbish. I don’t understand it and its very unfair that good sellers lose listings because of these parasites… but it has happened on listings where I’ve been the only seller and they won’t even just check the history and amend. Annoying.
