Second Day Shipping
Probably a numpty question, so excuse me if this has been covered before - cant seem to find a conclusive answer. For UK sales, can someone advise which services does Amazon accept for 2nd day shipping. We cannot afford to send via Special Delivery since our products are low value. What other options exist?
Many thanks in advance

You will get different answers from different people as the options are not listed by Amazon. It’s all about time to customer and you need delivery tracking as a minimum.
You could use RM24 but that is so unreliable that you will lose eligibility fairly quickly as, unless you are sending 100’s of orders weekly, you will never achieve the minimum 97% on-time delivery rate as RM doesn’t achieve it and many packages don’t get scanned so you are stuffed.
Essentially, you need to use a next-day courier or a 2-day courier if you can find one that is reliable enough to achieve >97% OTDR and offers the minimum delivery tracking.
Don’t forget that there is no handling time with premium shipping so shipping on orders up to the cut-off must be on the same day.

As others have said, it all depends on the risk you want to take and how many orders on 1-day and 2-day you receive.
Due to Amz %, if shipping very few initially, you may not even be allowed any to be late, or maybe just 1 at the most in the month.
You have to delivery Monday to Saturday.
Have to ship the same day as the order is received, up to cut-off time.
Example 1: order arrived 12 noon Thursday, has to be shipped that day, on a 2-day, that has to arrive by Saturday.
Royal Mail TRACKED 24 may be ok, not standard 24/1st class as often not scanned and then that is the end of your Premium shipping, it is so easy to get stopped from offering Premum shipping. Basically your courier needs to deliver everything on time, every time and never make any errors. Even with 2-day deliveries, they can have issues, for example if Royal Mail know a business is closed on a Saturday, they may defer the delivery, but as not tried to deliver, then Amz count that as being late if delivered on the Monday. So, you really need to send everything next day delivery, and hope no issues. Tracked 24 is officially an estimated, non-guaranteed 1 to 2 working day delivery (Tracked 24 is also now being delivered on a Sunday in many areas).
If your courier does not count Saturday as a delivery day (eg Parcelforce), even sending on a Next Day delivery can be an issue. If late for any reason, so not delivered on Friday, those couriers tend to show the next delivery day as Monday, you need to monitor that and upgrade to a Saturday delivery.
We found only DPD Buy Shipping worked as they deliver 7 days a week and rarely not delivered 1-day, but none have been late on a 2-day. Add the price to the Buyer. Tracked 24 is generally also ok, but even so 1 month a while back they had issues and that can again get you barred from Premium for 30 days.
In reality most RM Tracked 48 are on time, but you only need 1 day where the batch is not processed as quite often happens, and Premium 2-day is taken away from you. If it had been a standard delivery, if delivered on 3rd day not an issue.
Example 2: order arrived 12.55pm Friday, has to be shipped that day, on a 2-day, that has to arrive by Monday (as Saturday is a working delivery day). Again, are you going to trust your delivery Company if Saturday isn’t a working day, as Monday would be a 1-day delivery.
Remember Amz say MUST be TRACKED (does not say signed for, but a good idea for anything expensive).
