Help, request for approval? Receipt? Arbitrage? 1 letter from suppliers
Hello everyone,
I am new to amazon and to be honest i am a bit lost as customer service is not really helping.
My idea when signing up was to sell beauty product which i now understand that you need to request approval so that part is fine as i just need to provide the bills and my certificate.
Now when i am confused is that i see some people doing sales arbitrage, but when i go try to sell for example, a games they are asking me again for approval AGAIN with other paper work :-/ i am a bit confused. Are we not allowed to sell 2nd items? or new item without the receipt ex : stuff around the house thats news etc…
So my question is how do sell on amazon items new that we find while doing arbitrage?
Also , i wanted to sell my items across europe so is there a calculator for European fulfillment network on here?
Sorry i am completely lost

Receipts won’t be accepted. You need an invoice from the wholesaler or manufacturer. Buying stuff from a shop and selling it on Amazon will end up getting you in trouble it’s not allowed. I believe you are allowed to sell your own personal items as used though.

Many categories, such as Toys, are gated and require approval from Amazon before you can sell in them. That’s the case whether the items are new or not. Ungating typically requires valid invoices from an authorised supplier.
The things you buy as arbitrage or that you have around the house are not considered new so shouldn’t be listed as such.
The YT gurus who buy toys etc for £5 and sell for £20 are often deliberately misleading and/or risking their accounts.

You need to learn the basics of Amazon before you start even attempting to sell. Ignore the “get rich quick” videos, as Bairstows rightly points out, these people are making money from their videos, not from Amazon.
To put it in simple terms:
a) You CANNOT buy a product new, in a retail shop and then sell that same product NEW on Amazon…because it is no longer new. Once it leaves the shop it is technically second hand, even if it is unopened.
b) You CANNOT list NEW products for sale on Amazon unless you have purchased them from the manufacturer or authorised distributor AND have invoices to prove this (retail receipts are not acceptable)
c) Most bricks and mortar wholesalers such as Bookers, Makro etc are NOT acceptable to Amazon as an authorised distributor.
d) As for approval, this has nothing to do with your bills or certificate, that is verification. Approval is a separate requirement for many categories and this is where your purchasing from manufacturer or authorised distributor comes in and from where invoices are absolutely vital.
I would recommend you visit this link:

and learn about what you need to do before you end up with a very swift suspension.

So let me make it clear…
You have watched a video on YouTube on to how to get rich quick, by finding products in Asda and re-selling them with a massive profit on Amazon???
Let me ask you a question… if those people making those videos were so successful as they say, why would they share it with you? Wouldn’t it be better for them to just keep it quiet and make butt load of money?
This is all scam and they are riding your wallet giving you useless advice, which can only get you in trouble…
