Read onlyWe are an Irish business selling on Amazon Marketplace UK.
We have recently been revoked of selling privaleges due to our UK VAT number being rejected by Amazon. We have provided an active UK and Irish VAT number into the system along with HMRC documents to show all is above board.
Amazon has now rejected the VAT number again as my UK VAT number is registered to my UK business which has a slightly different name to the business registered to my seller account. I have reached out to the vat-number-appeals@amazon.com team and let them know that companies are sister companies with same beneficial owners with supporting details to which I got the following reply
Dear Seller,
Thank you for providing the relevant information. We have validated your VAT number and updated our records.
Under normal circumstances, the update should register in your account within 2 working days / your account should be reinstated within 7 working days.
No further action is required from your end.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us again if you have any other UK VAT related concerns.
However I have logged back on today to again see that the VAT number has been rejected and account still removed of selling privileges.
Can someone please provide some guidance here on what to do?
Thanks.
