Any idea how to change what's in the Amazon's catalogue? + "The SKU data provided is different from what’s already in the Amazon catalog" error
Hi,
A few months ago I’ve added clothes to the UK’s, Greman and French marketplaces. I’ve used different size systems for the UK’s and for the rest, so the potential customers are not confused. However, this confused Amazon and I constantly get 8541 error “The SKU data provided is different from what’s already in the Amazon catalog (…)”. It doesn’t come up on all the variations, not even on half of them what makes the issue even more strange.
I am the only person who’s listing these products and I am the brand owner. I just want to unify the size system to have all the products uploaded correctly.
Obviously, I have contacted the support many, many times but they are useless as always.
Please let me know if you have any idea how to tackle it. Many thanks!

We have had this exact error. For us it was cause due to an attribute having different data on a different marketplace.
For example if it says BLUE on UK and I try to call it RED on France, it would fail.
From what you say, it looks like the sizes are causing this.

In my case, changing the title kept giving same error message. After changing text gradually, I found out that there were some keywords that could not be changed. In my case, the dimension was sensitive and as long as I kept the same dimension it worked fine.
So for everyone, try changing the sentence bit by bit and then see what causes the error message.
It was very frustrating for me that I could not change the title as per my needs and Amazon support team could not explain the reason. They only advised me to delete and recreate the listing which I didnt want and could have lead to unknown problems.
I hope this helps other sellers with the same error message.
Cheers!
