I am a bookseller with about 6K individual listings on Amazon, am not on Abe so cannot help with that bit of your question.
Sales have nose-dived over past year, and even more so in past few months, and to crown it I have sold only 2 in past 7 days, and it is now 6 days since a sale - absolutely awful, and I blame completely the atrocious search.
Look for a book as most buyers would by title/author, and the first few results displayed are usually books without even a single matching word, then they show the multiple rogue duplicates from US (mostly) dropshippers and other duplicate catalogue pages, and the correct listing is hidden behind the small grey arrows which the vast majority of buyers will not even notice or know what they are for.
I am totally discouraged with Amazon.

Abebooks is better than Amazon in every conceivable way.

It depends what sort of books you sell. For current bestsellers and popular paperbacks, Amazon is obviously going to outperform Abe…by miles.
For rare 1st editions and other collectables, Abe might have the edge but I would have thought a certain well known ‘auction site’ would be a better bet than Abe for that.
I doubt most online buyers have even heard of Abe.
