Bank account verify, Direct deposit is different from bank statement account number, credit union

When I set up my business checking account the bank - a credit union - gave me a direct deposit number to use for direct deposits (longer direct deposit number which contains my account number as part of it) but it is not shown on my bank statements and only show on a direct deposit forms. :( I went around and around with seller support as he kept saying to verify that it has to show on the statement the account number on Amazon (the longer direct deposit number the bank gave me is how I set up my Amazon payment account). After going around with him I contacted the payments seller support and she suggested I contact the bank to get a statement from them that will show on a statement the direct deposit number. Now I have to wait till the bank opens on Tuesday to do that and hope my bank can give me a custom statement that can show that direct deposit number on it. Has anyone else been able to do this? I've seen other seller questions with this same issue as for setting up direct deposit the bank gives you a longer direct deposit number and I believe that longer direct deposit number as set up here that doesn't match the shorter account number as shown on my statement is why my verification isn't working. I'm not sure if i change the information here to only the account number vs the longer direct deposit number .. Will my deposits even go through? A question for the bank on Tuesday.

EDIT to add: I verified 2 months ago with no issues.

this is so frustrating. Anyone else having this exact issue and been able to resolve it? Help please! :(

Unless your bank is doing something absolutely out of the world. the deposit number is most likely the ROUTING NUMBER and then the bank account information.

You get that off a check or deposit form.

I'm going to go to the credit union on Tuesday and see if they can generate a statement that includes that number? Otherwise if the statement is just the shorter number and doesn't show the direct deposit number. I'm not sure what to do. Do i have to go open a new business account? Deposits should go into a business account and my account is under an LLC name. Our personal account of course would have account number and match. Wish I could just get a real person to look at the statement AND a direct deposit form that I have to show that number. Otherwise going into the bank and seeing if they can give me a statement (if even possible). I can't lose my account and would I then have to resort to getting a new account that I can prove that number on a bank statement since they told me nothing else works and it HAS to be a bank statement. I know i'm not the only one. There is another lady in a FB group with this EXACT issue.

I guess it could be an option just change it to go to our regular bank and do a transfer all the time. I'm a sole member LLC. This. is such a headache. Appreciate the reply :)

My credit union does the same thing. They use a Mickler number to attach all accounts, and Amazon is sayi9ng they cannot confirm my statement. I'm not sure how to go about this. I have already spoken with the Credit Union, and they never put the FULL account number on any statements.

Imagine that... Amazon developed another program without any knowledge about how 1/3 of the USA banks.

@Rose_Amazon - Your post in handmade is not accurate. I tried to respond, but it is a closed forum. None of the canned responses apply.

Banks often use ACH numbers and accounts numbers interchangeably. Credit unions do not. Credit unions use Member Numbers and sub-account numbers. For example, savings is 55555-00. Checking is 55555-10. Credit card is 55555-85

These are not what Amazon calls "account numbers" (which are actually ACH numbers) that Amazon uses to deposit funds. They only appear on checks (an ACH cleared instrument), not the statements.

All this frustration is not because the statement is missing information, it is because Amazon's banking compliance department does not understand the difference between an account number and an ACH number.

And of course it is impossible to get in contact with any human, much less one with the knowledge and ability to correct another a very broken Amazon process.

My credit union uses a Member number and each account is assigned a number, 1, 2, 3, etc. Statements do not contain the account number which is printed on checks. Apparently Amazon doesn't understand this.

You can add this statement to just about any post here and it remains true.
