Closing account and then reopening
Are you able to close your account and then reopen a new one under the same name?

Pretty certain no - unless they have changed the rules recently.
Also, you can only close an account if it is fully verified and not deactivated or suspended.

From the post above I understand that you are planning to close your current account and start a new one. But, as per the amazon policies, you wouldn’t be able to close an account if it is suspended.

If you provide the correct documents, that would be verified, and your account could be reactivated.

Others have checked and said you are going through verification. I found that sending all information in a consistent format helped. I scanned and sent everything requested in PDF format and it seemed to go through no problem. All names, addresses and other information should all match info put in at start of application with no spelling mistakes and no extra spaces.
I don’t know but I suspect the verification documents sent in a single format would indicate to me that details are machine read and confirmed.
Many companies ask for PDF invoices nowadays and I use PDF invoices when accounts are done in Xero.

As per the above notification you need to submit the following documents to reactivate your account.
- A utility bill dated within the last 90 days for piped gas, natural gas, electricity, piped water, mobile phone, fixed-line phone, or internet service with name and address visible.
- A business license if applicable.
The name and address on the document must match the information entered in Seller Central.
The documents must be legible, authentic, and unaltered and contain the required information. We do not accept screenshots.
