Suspect order Amazon won't cancel
Hi
This morning i have had an order for 30 units of a single game placed by a customer outside the UK.
In 20 years of experience of online trading this sets the alarm bells ringing and is highly likely to be fraud. I have contacted seller support and attempted to speak on the phone, but there appears to be an issue as the call comes in but as soon as i answer it rings off straight away. I then initiated a live chat in which i was told that seller support cannot cancel FBA orders! Even if they are highly suspect and present a huge risk! I was then told, they cannot escalate it to someone who can look at it or even flag it as high risk or even cancel it. Surely this cannot be the case? Surely it can’t be, even if it looks like it may be dodgy and presents a huge risk to me as a trader that i have no right to cancel one of my own order?
I screen shot the conversation with the seller support rep as proof that i attempted to have the order canceled if there are issues further down the line.
Does anyone have anything they can share regarding speaking to someone who will actually look at the transaction rather than just coming back with a ridiculous cut and paste response please?.

Have you not thought that maybe, just maybe, it’s a valid order?
Besides which, if it’s FBA, then it’s not your issue.
If the order is lost etc, then Amazon will fund it.
So really not sure what the issue actually is?
If it’s actually seller fulfilled, then you can just cancel the order.

It may not be a bad order.
For example it is possible they are going to put into some sort of party/goodie bag. It could be a gift a boss is buying for his employees. An end of term gift from a teacher to their children.
As it is FBA not a lot you can do but let the order go through.
If you want to protect yourself in future there is a Max Order Quantity against the ASIN which is supposed to limit how much one buyer can buy. I have never used it and you will need to look into whether it is applicable to FBA orders.
