Amazon Seller registration difficulty switching from professional to individual seller account
Hi,
I spent a few weeks with support trying to fix this issue.
The problem is when you register and choose professional then it seems to be locked in.
Same for the markets once they’re selected.
This required several messages going back to support to switch to individual seller and get reimbursed for market access fee.
Please consider looking into this as it’s a giant hassle which is in contrast to the ease of use of the rest of the Amazon site.

You aren’t talking directly to Amazon on here, this is the sellers forum, we are sellers just like you.
I signed up for a professional selling account and have often downgraded to the basic account when away for long holidays. You manage this yourself, just go to Account info and where it says selling plan Professional, click edit and choose to down grade.
Settings > Account Info
On the left at the bottom where it says Your Services, click Manage and down gradt to the basic selling account
Above this, still on the left under Listings Status make all other marketplaces Inactive apart from UK
