Deleted Parent ASIN to create new one and sales rank gone?
Hi guys,
Wondering if you could help me… we recently have introduced a new colour to a swimsuit that we sell… I wanted to add it as a colour variation under a product we have a good sales rank for… but the problem being is that when it was created it was only created for “size variations” so I deleted the parent sku/asin from manage inventory and reuplaoded via excel a new sku with size-colour variations and updated the child skus with colour etc and matched them to the new sku… now I have noticed when doing so it has deleted the amazon sales rank (it was 148 in womens one piece swimsuits) anyone got any ideas on how to get it back?

reviews have pulled across but not the sales rank?

I would imagine that if you have created a new ASIN then the sales rank based on that new ASIN would be basically last. I doubt you can transfer rank from one asin to another, the individual stats for the child variations should still stand so couple that with all of the reviews for the product, the rank should rapidly rise back to its rightful position.
I am only applying some sort of logic, I am not 100 percent familiar with how the rank is determined.
the child ASINs are important and historical sales of individual ASINS, buy box etc should push it into its rightful position.
