Received my first ever unauthorized purchase what do i need to do?
received my first ever unauthorized purchase
customer has had the item for 7 days and now filed a return as unauthorized purchase saying they did not purchase it which i find extremely suspicious as they signed for it themselfs and was delivered over 1 week ago
what i need to ask is who is responsible for the return postage ?
and does it need to be a full refund ie product and postage paid

Yes you must refund in full for the original transaction, including the postage (providing the item is returned in the same condition it was sent). The buyer is responsible for the return postage. The return period is 30 days and during that time, an item can be returned for ANY reason. Hope this is helpful

Are they saying they’ve received it and will be returning it?
Or are they stating it’s an unauthorised purchase that they have not received?
They could be trying to keep the item for free while doing a chargeback
We had a woman email us a few years ago freaking out that someone had sent her some of our fetish clothing… When I checked the order and then the buyers Facebook page it was her dad.
He’d obviously used his Amazon account to buy something for his daughter in the past and clicked on her address when buying for himself.
Because I didn’t want to cause any issues I just asked her to return it for a refund (which she never did)
