Have lots,of them…each time SS keep giving cut and past various replies

Getting fed up that the price always reverts back to a previous setting
I have now asked SS to complete one of mine to see what the issue is…I’ll wait for them to come back with yet another reason

Can anyone make sense of this and suggest what I am doing wrong please

Keep on getting cut and past useless reposes…

I am selling an item for 27.79
Only other seller = Amazon at 28.97
My lowest price setting = 27.97
I set my highest price at 28.97
Each time I save it the highest price reverts to 27.97
It then goes live for 10mins then comes back as a high price deactivation

Any suggestions appreciated as this is driving me up the wall
THANKS

Richard

Sadly, Amazon, whenever they can exploit a situation for their own good, will do so. It’s a similar thing to the Christmas approach when payments all of a sudden aren’t dispersed due to a “technical error” (which is, of course, denied for weeks) just so Amazon can sit on all that Christmas cash and make a nice chunk of interest from it.

Here, they are exploiting the situation to push their own products, or the items that will benefit them the most financially, all under the guise of “protecting their customers”.

Amazon are sharks and inscrupulous.

What is the item? I’m guessing it is classed by Amazon as “essential”.

They have been running bots against listings with keywords of essential items (picking up plenty of non-essential unrelated items on the way).

Your price is probably not the issue it will be that it’s been flagged as an essential item and the algorithm thinks your price is high.

For example we sell a party decoration that comes with a mask for £25. Their algorithm thinks the item is a respiratory mask and should be sold for no more than say £3. The algorithm sends you the warning and you will likely get a violation on your account for price gouging.

Fighting this very issue in France now and Seller Performance have no idea how to handle it as they have been given no guidance. It’s rife across Amazon marketplaces - they’ve just deployed the bot without any human screening of the products it flags and takes down. We’ve been fighting various types of this issue for the last 10 days.

Hey fellow sellers. I’ve checked amazon policies regarding pricing and under " Pricing your item" section:
https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/help.html/?itemID=G62551&ref_=xx_G62551_a_r141_cont_sgsearch
is clearly stated that we, seller "may list items at any price we feel is fair, regardless of the Amazon.co.uk price or list price. Furthermore the reference The UK Competition and Markets Authority guidance. which states: “Re-pricing software can be used to encourage healthy competition among online sellers, but it’s illegal to use it as part of a price-fixing agreement.” Which exactly what amazon algo does to our listing, it fix our prices at the the level that is quite often impossible to make any profit. It is not only against the Amazon policy but it is ILLEGAL.I suggest you guys read it and start sending queries to SS referencing that.

I am having the same problem. 55 of my listings keep being pulled. (i sell tea) and my prices are very fair. I am in the middle of a row with Seller central support about it, though at the moment they just send me replies which suggest they haven’t read what i have written.

Same here after I received this from SS:

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I understand that the ASIN :B06XVTV7CW is Inactive (Blocked) due to pricing error and the price has always been £114.99 or £99.99.

We have reviewed your case and have provided you with all the information we can provide. We understand that you may be disappointed with the outcome of your case. However, our records indicate that this decision is final. Further correspondence regarding this case will not be answered.

We deactivated your listings because we have detected your listings have errors. We detect pricing errors based on several factors and are constantly looking for seller inputs about potential sources of pricing errors. Often, we find problems just in comparison to a Buy Box Price. You can confirm and update your price by going to Fix Price Alerts page under Pricing section and by adhering to Marketplace Fair Price Policy. You can follow Match Low Price from Manage Inventory (MYI) page by matching the Buy Box Price or suggested lower price from Manage Pricing Dashboard under Pricing Section. If you have a professional selling account, you can also use the Price & Quantity or the Inventory Loader files to submit the listings with an updated price.

Amazon admitted to me the other day that they’ve tweaked their ‘high pricing error’ system. I have this problem at the moment with spray glasses cleaner in Germany - it’s a 30ml bottle for 5,99 which is perfectly reasonable but their system has flagged it as an error and it won’t clear. As usual, their customer services have been utterly useless in ‘helping’ me resolve the issue. They keep telling me I can edit the price but, when I click on the ‘change price’ button in my disabled listings page, it keeps default changing the price to hundreds of euros, e.g. if I try to type in 5,99 it changes it to 500 euros! I tried typing in 5 on its own, it still changes to 500. Customer services won’t listen when I tell them it’s a technical error. It smacks of a Javascript error to me.

As per usual with Amazon, I will have to keep on and on and on at them until someone finally listens.

Hi guys, I got a good news that one of my inactived listings is active now. I keep opening cases to the Support team. Finally they forward my cases to the relevant team and then they released my sales. But the normal price is 41.9. Now is 32.9. It seems that the lower price is blocked by the related team. If you change the price, the listing will become inactived.
I will advise you to try to keep talking to the ss and ask them to forward it to the relevant team to release the listing. Good luck.
