Changing the type of business from Private to Individual
Hello, I have made a mistake while registering on the Amazon platform and chose business type as “Privately-owned business” instead of “None, I am an Individual”. How can I change my business type on Amazon? Already contacted the support but wondering if there is a manual way to do that.
Thanks.

If you are a business ie. registered with HMRC as a business, and buying stock in to sell on, ie.trading, if you work for yourself (on your own with no employees) then you are a Sole-trader.
On Amazon an Individual Seller is someone who is simply selling off their own secondhand personal items and not actually buying in stock to sell on.

If greyed out, you can email seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk to explain your error and ask them to ungrey the relevant box so you can enter a different business type.

Thank you for your responses.
Yes, I am the only one in this business, there is no stocks or partners.
I’ve used your advice and contacted them through email, waiting for response now.

Yes I am sole proprietor I think I should’ve chose the last option “None, I am an individual” because now I am unable to provide the statutes they asked me to provide for account verification.
Do you know how long it usually takes for support to respond?
