Buyer refunding item as soon as I mark it shipped
So I’ve just sold my first item as soon as I marked it as shipped the buyer sent a refund request 5min after is there anyway to avoid this? Do I refund the buyer in full and just accept the loss? Do I try organise a return? What happens if the buyer doesn’t return the product?

It could be a genuine customer mistake but scammers do this hoping that the seller has returnless refunds active.
But I suggest you read up on how to manage customer returns on seller university.

Hi AcquireDesire,
Sorry to hear of the problem...
Sakura_Amazon has helpfully put together a guide - https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/seller-forums/discussions/t/c4f17cdc-de52-4ccc-84a4-c6e0931ea70b...

I definitely wouldn't be shipping a product I know is coming back to me. You'll end up giving the refund anyway, and be out at least one set of shipping for the trouble, plus the product won't be available for sale until it's back and might be returned damaged.

The last time someone asked for a refund just after I shipped it, I did an RM Stop and Return on the Tracked 48 that I had sent.
Obviously this costs money, but at least you get an unopened item back that you can sell.
I just don't find that it's worth the effort trying to do anything else these days.
