Selling in USA from the UK
Hi Guys,
As a UK amazon seller, is it possible to sell on Amazon USA without opening a company there? I mean, Amazon offers me to do with my UK subscription, but I’m not sure, how do I’ll receive the payments.
Thanks

There is no need to register a LLC in the USA in order to be able to sell there, your UK company details will suffice.
According to my own experience, selling on the Amazon USA marketplace is a lot better than in Europe and the site comes with much more seller friendly policies.
What I like the most is being allowed to withhold restocking fees and original shipping cost out of the refund when items are returned, having my account details hidden from the storefront page or the high allowance for duty-free imports of FBA shipments.
You will need to review all the requirements, which includes for example having to offer a local return address in the US (or a pre-paid return label to your own country) or pay any import duties on your buyer’s behalf…
But currently, Amazon USA is very strict when approving new sellers to register on the site so it is very likely that you will get suspended immediately following registration and will be unable to ever start selling.

Hi Kika!
Thanks for your insights…
I receive the payments in your UK bank account, correct?
Thanks

We started selling in the USA and Canada 8 months ago after attending a Global Selling conference at Amazon HQ in London. Amazon gave us an account manager for the first 3 months, which really helped. We got the buy box straight away on USA.
We now have brand registry set up there too, which took ages. USPTO took over six months.
Even though we have a perfect record so far. All 5 star seller feedback, no A-Z’s, etc. We still have the 30 day hold on funds. You also won’t get the buy box for 90 days on Canada.
