Can you switch to FBM from FBA and repeat it?
Hi,
Can we switch from FBM to FBA and then back to FBM? Can we change from one another when we want?
I know we could do it once, but could it be done repeatedly if needed? (I know the implications of stranded inventory.)

Yes you can but sometimes when you convert a SKU from FBA to FBM it just doesn't work.
It maybe easier to have 2 SKU's one for FBA and one for FBM. If you don't want to sell the FBA one for a while then close the listing, the stock will go stranded though.
However you can have both FBA and FBM listings against an ASIN. Then the customer can choose which one they want.

It could be done but you run the risk of problems such as the stranded inventory you have highlighted. Most people who sell the same product FBM and FBA will have two SKU’s. The other thing to watch out for is that you don’t let both your SKU’s compete with each other, especially if you use automated pricing policies.

You are better just to add another SKU to the listing by using the drop down menu under “Edit” there is an option “Add another condition”. We have this on all of our listings so that if it’s out of stock FBA we can use FBM.

Hi, thanks for these answers.
My issue is I have 2 FBA SKU’s for same ASIN (one with FNSKU barcode and new one with manufacturer barcode). I want to convert FNSKU ones to FBM to not have two FBA SKU’s. In one product it was not converting from FBA to FBM, which I will delete the SKU and create new one for FBM when I decide to sell both FBM and FBA.
I did not delete the old ones as I still have some FBA stock on those.
