Can you sell products with cbd in on amazon uk?

I have set up an account and wanted to sell cbd products. I have seen cbd products on amazon, but read something in the terms od service that said they are not allowed… I am confused. Can you sell products with cbd in on amazon? If so, i would welcome any advice please. I planmed to get any products sell lab tested after puchasing them, but now i am worried i wont be able to sell them anyway. So before i get myself banned before starting out is there anyine who could offer me the correct advice. Thank you in advance

No, you can’t. It doesn’t matter that other people have them listed. It’s just that Amazon hasn’t picked up on it yet and when they do those listings will be suspended and most likely the accounts too!

Examples of Prohibited Listings

Cannabinoids including Cannabidiol (CBD) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)

Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia and Dietary Supplements

That’s correct what BarryM said - you can’t watch other people and use them as excuse, seller support won’t recognize that as a proper excuse for selling prohibited item. I listed some time ago CBD oil with no THC in it but still prohibited on amazon (not only on amazon tbh). Amazon pretty quick found that and blocked the listing - now I know I can’t list anything based on cannabinoids, even if it’s something for let’s say good skin condition

Thank you both for your replies. Its quite disappointing but good to know, because i wouldn’t want to invest in products i cant sell and loose my investment… Back to the drawing board

I agree with the previous advice saying that CBD products are prohibited on Amazon.

Prior to offering any items for sale, you should review all the Amazon help pages to ensure there are no restrictions affecting their sale, instead of looking at the offers available from other sellers.

In general, many sellers are able to get away with violating the published policies (for some time - until they are caught) and this is the reason why you still may see their offers available. But definitely don’t try to follow their example.

My understanding is that hemp oil (extracted from seed rather than plant) can be sold as it does not contain CBD. If you search CBD oil hemp oil products are displayed.

The hemp oil sellers use what could be construed as misleading graphics by displaying cannabis leaves on hemp oil products.

Thank you for the e advise… I defiately won’t be following any misleading practices though, thats why i posted this request. It is interesting that hemp oils are permitted though? If anyone has any more advice for me as a new seller it will be greatfully recieved. As a new starter i need all the advice i can get to make sure i am doing things correctly before i begin. Thank you all for your comments, i appreciate it :ok_hand:
