Another odd Amazon message
I have just started getting this strange message in upload reports:
“Please review your selling price and maximum price and ensure that your maximum price is greater than or equal to your selling price”.
We sell used books, and just have the set price - no maximum, no minimum. Any ideas about what to do? I’ve looked at a random listing & can see nothing about maximum or minimum pricing.

I don’t think it stops your listings from being sold but worth checking if you have any ‘fix pricing’ inventory suppressed. This is Amazon being ‘clever’ about their pricing tactics. They recently blamed price gouging for stopping hundreds of genuine sellers from selling essential items to protect their own sales.
To see your minimum, maximum price you need to go under ‘Pricing’ - Manage Pricing.
They are saying you should make it clear what is the top price for your products because then they can accumulate this info across all the sellers and use it as an excuse if you put your price up too much for their liking.
Edit: I should also mention that if you set min and max prices, you can then use the automated pricing feature to let Amazon change your prices based on competitors - we don’t use this feature but worth mentioning.
