Selling Other Brands
Hello,
I was wondering if it’s possible to sell brands other than your own without permission?
I have found a good brand on several UK wholesaler sites, and there are only a few of their listing present on the UK marketplace.
However, upon searching the brand, they cannot be found and therefore it would not be possible to ask for permission to sell their branded products.
Can anyone tell me if this is permitted?
Thanks

Yes, you can sell other brands.
It’s essentially all that I do. Must be 50 different brands that I sell.
You do however need to be careful as some brands, simply don’t allow sales on Amazon.
But if they don’t exist on Amazon already, you probably won’t be able to create a listing. Though you can try of course.

Best to contact the brand directly and see what their policy is around amazon/marketplace sellers. Some are open to all whilst others heavily restrict the sellers they allow. If they restrict you may need some form of written permission from the company in case Amazon algorithms pick you up.

Depends. I’m a clothing retailer and some brands will not allow their brands to be sold on Amazon as we would be in breach of IP and all sorts of other issues. Some others are quite happy to do so and some other aren’t worth it because Amazon are offered such large discounts it is impossible to compete as an Indie.
Buying via Wholesalers is a decreasing market as more brands want control and have official brand partners.
