Listings Removed - Sick to Death of Amazon

Getting so fed up of Amazon, walked in today to find 3 more of our listings have been removed on top of Compliance issues. Here is the reason.

Removed Listings
Affected Product(s):
Stationery Set with Sticky Notes - Neon Design - Orange - 9 Piece
STUDENT SOLUTIONS, Ultimate 15 Piece Writing Set
Mini Hand Stapler Set – Hand Stapler, 500 Staples

Dear Selling Partner,

We are writing to let you know that the product(s) listed at the bottom of this message have been removed from sale on Amazon.co.uk.

Why is this happening?

As part of legal requirements and our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, Amazon has implemented safety standards for all jewelry products on the site and we do not have sufficient information regarding the affected ASINs to assess whether they meet these safety standards in compliance with REACH regulation. You can find more information on this program in the page below:

These products are stationery products, listed in the stationery catergory, images are stationery and have nothing at all to do with Jewellery. Yet they have removed them!!! Am I missing something here?

More than likely, a bot has picked up some words in the listings that make them sound like Jewellery.

Don’t get me started on this REACH conformity BS
I sell body jewellery and amazon have removed 215 listings even though i have sent them a REACH certificate provided by our manufacturer.
We have opened numerous cases for each listing sending them countless documents but every single time they get rejected.
And to top it off amazon have decided to remove our best selling earring retainers that are made from plastic and no metal is present.
We can’t seem to get any help from ss all we need to know if WHAT document do they actually want from us.
I contacted HSE to ask their advise and they told me that the original certificate i sent into amazon was correct,
If this continues amazon will single headedly ruin my 12 year business.
Please if there is anyone out there on the forums could you very kindly advise me on what i am going wrong or let me know exactly what documents i need to send into amazon to save my livelihood.
I don’t know if it is because of BREXIT but at the moment the UK doesn’t have an alternative ANEX to the EU REACH conformity.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Sarah

I wonder if it’s anything to do with the word ‘Stapler’.

Don’t really know much about these things but isn’t that something used for body piercing? Hence the jewellery connection.

Not sure about the others. Maybe the words ‘Neon design’?

We had a wireless bluetooth speaker removed because it didn’t meet the regulations for face masks last week

I’ve had over 100 listings removed for REACH compliance over the weekend. The annoying thing is that none of the items are jewellery. They’re all badges. Amazon, for some reason known only to themselves, moved my items from the Fancy Dress category to Jewellery and then delisted them. On top of that, they did the very same thing back in July, admitted their mistake and reinstated the listings. I’ve an ongoing case with seller support, who are at least agreeing with me that something has gone wrong.

We have had a Vango Alloy Pole Set removed - love to see them dangling from your ears  . This was not listed in jewellery, was correctly listed in appropriate category

Not going to even bother challenging it - happily sell them elsewhere

We had the same message for a set of industrial wheel nut sockets - utter madness

I have got a policy violation in food and product safety for a cd…apparently a cd can be used inappropriately so they won’t remove it.

Aha! The common thread is the word “SET” ! All of my removed listing are badge sets.

That can’t really be right, can it?

EDIT Yep, just checked every listing explicitly has the word SET in the title. I have other sets that say “4x” rather than “set” and those ones are still up. Go figure.
