Does this prompt sellers to ask for a refund? "An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item"
“An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item” is what Royal Mail say when they “forget” to scan the item and therefor cannot track it, even though theres a tracking number provided. This then shows customers that we haven’t marked it down as delivered and gives them an opportunity to ask for a refund. I sometimes think it prompts customers to do this! The amount of amazon orders i’ve had personally that show as “running late” even though the item has already been delivered?
Does anyone else think this prompts buyers into trying to get a refund?
I’ve had a few customers ranging from about 3 weeks back saying not received, no contact beforehand.
Of course some will be telling the truth, I just think this prompts alot to try their luck and i’m not sure how to get around this!

Amazon sends messages to people for whom the tracking/delivery confirmation doesn’t shows delivery telling them to contact the seller for a refund.
Edit - You probably can’t get around it. You usually have to just refund to avoid the defect and if you’re eligible to make a claim with Royal Mail for the lost parcel, you should.
