Same product with multiple UPC numbers
I’m slightly baffled So… according to Amazon the same product cannot be sold under different listings. Yet I have found two separate products with multiple listings each with their own UPC numbers. One product is listed six times so that’s six UPC numbers! Is there something I’m unaware of? Or this against Amazon’s policy? If so, why is it being allowed to continue?
Thanks

Ah, in that case, that is a breach of policy and you can report it to Amazon. On your seller account page, click on Performance, then Account health. On the left, you should see a link to “report abuse”. Various options, including at the second level, “Product listing is a duplicate…”

Possibly various sellers offering the same generic product but each under their own “brand” name. A total nonsense but Amazon allow and indeed encourage it. All it does is clutter up the catalogue, causing confusion to buyers and sellers, by creating multiple listings for the same item under spurious brand names that no-one has ever heard of, or will ever look for

Thanks for the reply. Interestingly five of the items are all under the same brand and point to the same “store”.
