Click and Drop - Normal Post Box?

I use Royal Mail Click and drop which is linked to my Amazon account. I get a daily postal pickup from Royal Mail Mon-Fri where I bag all the stuff up in sacks and leave for the postman to collect with the manifest.

I’m one of the lucky ones who has seen a big increase in sales at the moment so working 6 days a week at least, does anyone know if I can use click and drop to print the labels off on a Friday after my post pickup and Saturday and just post in a normal post box? My stuff is low priced and mainly letters and large letters and I use STL codes and RM24/48 with the 2d delivery confirmation. If this is possible obviously i’m guessing I’d have to do the manifest but then just bin it as noone to give it to?

It’s perfectly possible, but not really allowed by RM.
I occasionally drop off in the local large box myself, with no issues.
Why not arrange for a Saturday collection instead, if you post warrants it?

You should be able to print the lables and pack everything, print the manifest and just leave it with your Monday collection. It doesn’t matter how many manifests your driver takes as long as they match the items you are sending. It we ever do this I just mark on the bags which manifest each bag relates to. Or sometimes we drop at the local PO, our post master just takes the bags and the manifest to hand to their driver when they collect.

If I work friday night/saturday morning I drop them off with the paperwork at the local delivery office. During this pandemic though I’m not willing to do that so just do as Light-Shop_Direct_Lt does and they go off with my Monday collection.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve known I can give the manifest in with Monday’s collection I do it at Christmas time. I was just trying to think about getting it in the post system as soon as possible as I’m getting so many “late” delivery emails and things taking a week so just thought if I could get things in sooner than the Monday afternoon pickup then it might get things through a little quicker even if it was a post box collection Sat afternoon. Good point Neil but as it’s just me at the moment I’m having to pace myself so some weekends im doing Sunday and some a Saturday, i also moved house six months ago so am currently 20miles away from my office normally not an issue but when I’m tired and trying to limit travel I just thought maybe I could take the stuff home to package on a friday night along with my label printer and stick in a post box on my daily exercise walk on sat morning.

I just drop all mine in the post box when I’m out walking, theyre all £2-£5 items so I don’t track them.

cross purposes, read up… I explained earlier… RM rep failed to keep the appointment I don’t have a a collection or manifest even though I ship thousands of units per year…ALL my click and drop goes in a box without issues. ALL DVD’s & CD’s weigh the same.

I have been in the music mail order business successfully 20 years. I have sold over 250,000 items mail order…The rep had this info and couldn’t be arsed…to be frank…to come and see Me.
