A scam email offering you money would generally require you to pay something up front as an “admin fee”.
It could be a phishing attempt, but it doesn’t seem to have any links unless you’ve removed them.
Easy enough to check by following the steps they outline direct in your account.

I had the same email. The adjustment of a gigantic 49p was credited to my account on 19th January.

No, it seems totally legit. We once analyzed our books and came to the conclusion, that Amazon charges us an extra percentage on a referral fee. With opening the case, I was provided with a template about incorrectly charged referral fee and asked to provide a separate list of affected ASINs. After processing our orders through such a template (and it was a pain: it could be done only manually, as there are no reports from the vast range of Amazon reports that can be used for this purpose, either no ASIN or no sum), our assumption was proven. Overall it was lower than 1% of sales for that period, but I still do this regularly. Though, it requires some initial push with the support, because they start “I understand that you have a question regarding amazon fee. Please look at this page. Have a nice day.”
Fun fact: FBA orders and orders with discounts were mostly calculated correctly or even in our favor (we owed Amazon, and yes, one have to put such orders in the aforementioned template in order to receive compensation), extra charge was mostly on FBM orders with no discount.
