Does Amazon accept invoices from South Korean / East Asian companies?
Hi all,
I’ve been trying to get ungated to sell a Korean beauty product on Amazon and submitted a number of invoices that tick all the boxes, but they keep getting declined. My invoice is from a South Korean company (they are listed on the brand’s official website as an authorized re-seller).
Does Amazon accept invoices from South Korean companies? I’ve seen conflicting information online about this. Some YouTube videos are saying the invoice you submit needs to be from a UK company that is VAT registered, and that the invoice should state the VAT number. South Korean companies don’t have a ‘VAT number’ so I’m wondering if that’s the issue.
Please can anyone confirm if they have had success in their invoice being accepted from a South Korean or East Asian company for a gated category?
Thanks!

It most certainly does not need to be a UK company registered for VAT.
What it needs to be, is a valid company, with all of the correct details on the invoice.
What exactly are they saying when they are rejected?

The one I’m working with is Aaron Trade - they are a wholesaler, not a retailer:

I think you might find its not the invoice thats the problem
You can’t just import Cosmetics & Skincare into the UK without proof that they are safe .

Just to add some ingredients will be allowed in some countries and not others.
It seems for example that the USA “trace” elements of lead are permitted in lipsticks - whereas in the UK/EU these “trace” elements are not permitted.
