ASIN is not searchable?
Morning,
Does anyone know what it means if ASIN doesn’t come up on search results?
Amazon says they come up with search results but when I check on my browser ‘No Asin Found’ result.
If ASIN is not searchable, does it mean the customer cannot find the product and What do I need to do to get ASINs searchable?
Thank you in advance

Posting here as well, so it’s available to others.
When your looking on Germany, are you looking with a UK or DE address?
It comes up when looking with a German one. I presume, that you don’t have shipping settings to the UK, from Germany?
If you don’t have a German address that you can use, use postcode 20095

If it doesn’t come up on search results, then it probably isn’t searchable.
Have you checked to make sure that it’s not suppressed?
Has it recently been created?
Post the ASIN and I can search for it. It could be just one of those things as well.

That’s not the UK site. What exactly are you trying to do?

That’s Amazon Germany and Amazon UK has the same issue but not for the same ASINs
ASINs doesn’t come up on search results and I’d like to know why and whether affects the sales or not.
ASIN listed in all countries

Ok, so are they being listed separately, or using the BIL tool?
Can you find the ASIN, if you search from the “Add a product” tool?
I’m assuming that UK is the home marketplace?

I listed the items using the Excel upload.
I just searched on Add A Product tool and it came up on the results.
UK is the home marketplace

You mean that they are listed separately on each site?
ie. if the quantity of stock changes on one, it changes on the other as well?
And just to check, you do actually have stock listed on them?
PM me of the ASIN’s that you can’t see on the UK and one for DE and I’ll take a look for you.

I don’t think it’s related to stock rate or text or anything like that, it looks more technical issue as the item listed on all countries, it is searchable in one country but not another one.
I use excel list to upload them they are listed seperatly.
On healthy listing, ASIN should be searchable right?

If it is searchable in one country and not searchable in other country, that means it is not indexed. In that case, you have to open case asking SS to check for indexing. If it is not searchable in both countries, that means the listing has some issue it can be either suppressed due to content.

Yes, Neil sorted out the issue.
When I searched in Amazon.de, my delivery address was UK and in the shipping setting customers from UK cannot buy on amazon.de website. hence the reason ASINs were not coming up on search results.
I changed the delivery address to Germany address and it was fine, all ASINs are searchable.

I have had issues in the past where a ASIN has mistakenly been classed as an adult product.
Just email CS and they can rectify or let you know if there is another issue,

I have faced this issue before and learn it was to do with the IP address you search from.
If your ASIN is ‘Active’ and not ‘Suppressed’ in your inventory, then it is likely active and searchable. Often ASINs will not be searchable in a marketplace if your IP address is not local to the jurisdiction of the marketplace.
eg. If you search the DE marketplace from a UK IP address, it wont show up. If you use a VPN and change to a German IP address, then go to DE marketplace, it will show up but again if you go back to the UK marketplace and search while connected to your German IP address, you likely won’t find your UK listings, until you switch back to your UK IP address.
