Advertising and buy box
Hi I hope someone can help and i’m sorry if this has already been asked, but i’ve searched through the forums and cannot find the answers in a way that I understand.
My sales have plummeted as of late. I have had bad feedback due to the messaging system issue we all know about, and due to my lack of sales my order defect rate is not good! However, that is not what I want to ask about.
For the first time ever I decided to pay for some advertising and have started an ad campaign… so it all appears to be set up, but when I click on the products it says, ‘Your ad is not eligible for impressions because your listing is not in the buy box’. Does this mean that I cannot pay for advertising without it?
I have looked at my inventory and trying to see if I have the buy box on anything, there is no real information there just a + -. Any idea what this means?
Also is there a way to see if I have ever had the buy box, or indeed to get in it?
My items are handmade and individual to me, so although people sell similar, there should not be anyone advertising the same items as me.
Apologies if any of this has been mentioned before. I have find it difficult to understand some of what I have read. Thank you

Ads only work when you have the buy box. Check how much of the time you do get it by looking in business reports. There will be a percentage.

Does anyone know if the buy box changes daily or if there is a monthly review or such like?

I really don’t get this:
To get the buy box there are some parameters to fulfill and one of them is to sell a lot.
To sell a lot you usually need to advertise.
To advertise you need the buy box.
What am I missing?

Fantastic news, I am back in the buy box and my ad campaign has started.
But now I am a little confused (again I know). I set a daily budget of £5.00 and have spent £1.91, it now says I will get no more click till midnight as I am over budget. I’ve read something about this am a little confused. I’m trying to run the campaign for a week to test it, so what figure do I need to put in the daily budget box?
Sorry if this should be obvious, I just cannot work it out!!
