Query re: Click & Drop Tracked 48 & Special Delivery orders - despatched on channel with tracking uploaded
Hi all,
So, today I decided to switch on Mark orders as despatched on channel & Upload delivery confirmation to channel in my Click & Drop account. This is only for the orders I send either by Tracked 48 or Special Delivery, to therefore avoid having to manually do everything in Seller Central.
Before I was manually marking these orders as dispatched with entering tracking information in Seller Central, resulting in the following and a 100% VTR for these types of deliveries:
Shipping Carrier: Royal Mail
Shipping service: Royal Mail Tracked 48
Tracking ID: JC*********GBShipping Carrier: Royal Mail
Shipping service: Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed
Tracking ID: NY*********GB
The orders I have dispatched out today using Click & Drop with the information sent over are now showing as follows:
Shipping Carrier: Royal Mail
Shipping service: Tracked 48
Tracking ID: JC*********GBShipping Carrier: Royal Mail
Shipping service: Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm - £750
Tracking ID: NY*********GB
Both shipping services are now displaying slightly differently, the tracking ID’s have been transferred over without any spaces and appear to be displaying correctly.
Can anyone confirm that my VTR will not be affected by this? or should I revert back to manually marking as dispatched and entering the tracking information, as before?
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Just note though that switching back on your mark orders as despatched, it may have overwritten all your previously manually entered shipping

Thank you, comes to something when you just want to make a simple change to make things easier for you, but being Amazon and VTR, even that causes you stress and anxiety!

So, it would appear this was a huge mistake with Click & Drop, my VTR report was sitting at 100% for orders dispatched manually, today it dropped to 89% displaying orders entered as below as invalid, all since changing my C&D settings to mark orders as dispatched with tracking uploaded.
These small changes to the shipping services text shown in bold, resulted in the VTR becoming invalid for these orders. All orders that were showing as invalid had the correct tracking number and were delivered to the customer before the expecting delivery date.
Just to complicate matters further, It also changed my other previously dispatched orders that were not sent with tracking from:

Shipping service: Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking

to:

Shipping service: Stamps/Franking

Therefore resulting in me having to edit over 200+ orders to correct the changes C&D had made to my already dispatched orders…fuming!!!
Unless Royal Mail change C&D to match the ‘Shipping Services text’ that Amazon requires, I can see this causing a problem for many of us wanting to mark orders as dispatched on channel with tracking uploaded.
As to why it changed my other orders to Stamps/Franking, I have no idea and just to clarify there was zero chance of human error on this, as it was set as default to Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking, of which I check each day when orders are being marked as shipped.
What a great start to my day, better actually try and process some orders now!

Just to add on the VTR report the orders displayed correctly as Royal Mail Tracked 48 & Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed.
However, when accessing the order details of those it flagged as invalid they displayed as Tracked 48 & Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm - £750
Everything was working perfectly fine before making the changes in C&D, all I wanted to do was just make things a little easier for me without having to upload the tracking details manually.

So, my VTR report has now changed with the Tracked deliveries now not appearing on the report, however, what is left was not entered as Stamps/Franking - it was entered as Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking, using the drop-down menu. - see image below.
My VTR was at 100% and has been for months, this morning it dropped to 89%, now back up to 93% with none of the tracked deliveries showing from this morning.
I’m convinced that since I altered my C&D account to automatically mark orders as dispatched and send the tracking details, has caused some of my previously dispatched orders to be altered.
While editing my orders this morning, I found many more as Stamps/Franking too.
There is no possibility of human error either, my default dispatch is set up as Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking. When I dispatch a batch of orders, I check to make sure the drop-down menu hasn’t altered in any way and I do this without fail on every dispatch, every day.
The orders sent over to C&D from Amazon, that I use my OBA account for i.e non tracked letters and large letters, I would normally just mark as ‘dispatched by other courier’, recently I decided to just delete the orders instead. Not sure what the best option is for those really?
Something wasn’t working as it should have been, that’s for sure. In the meantime, I’ve switched off marking as dispatched with the tracking sent over and reverted back to manually marking orders as dispatched.
Hopefully, within a day or two the Stamps/Franking orders will drop off again, now they have been put back to how they were and should be!

I made the change in my C&D account on the 16th of June, orders marked as dispatched on channel with tracking uploaded.
Many orders were affected from the date of dispatch, 9th of June onwards, with me having to amend orders showing as Stamps/Franking, back to Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking.
It appears no orders have been affected that were dispatched before the 9th of June.

72 hours have passed since I edited all the Stamps/Franking orders back to Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking, however no change is yet to be seen on my VTR report.
I currently have 16 invalids on my VTR report with a promised delivery date of the 15/16th of June. These were all edited on Friday 25th and in theory, should have now been removed from my VTR report.
All orders up to present day were checked and edited back to Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking on Friday 25th, so whether anymore will appear on my VTR report is still yet to been seen. Strangely while going in to edit them all, I still had some showing correctly, but others had changed to just Stamps/Franking!
All orders that were marked as dispatched by other courier in my C&D account have now been deleted and I’ll continue to do so, rather than marking them as dispatched by other courier for my letters & large letters.
Everything was perfect before I changed to ‘Mark orders dispatched on channel and upload delivery confirmation’, so you can only draw conclusions as to those changes somehow affected my non tracked deliveries.
With this enabled, I wonder by marking them as dispatched by other courier, somehow sent confirmation to Amazon, that it was still Royal Mail, but some reason selected ‘Stamps/Franking’, on those particular orders?
Before making the changes, I was marking them as dispatched by other courier and everything was fine in my Amazon account.

Finally, my VTR is now back to 100%!
It seems that by deleting the orders from C&D, that were previously marked as dispatched by other courier.
Then manually editing them again has now resulted in them dropping off my VTR report.
I’ll just need to monitor it over the coming days to ensure no others appear on there.
Also, very disappointed to see that some Sellers have received email warnings and telephone calls with VTR’s lower than 95%, as it still states ‘there is no direct penalty for not meeting the tracking performance target at this time.’
edit: Just to add my VTR is now purely being monitored on my Tracked 48 & Special Deliveries only.

Mine goes between 0% to 96%, changes every day. I just ignore it now. Not had any emails or calls.
