The Automotive Fitment tool helps you analyse trends and manage your catalogue

If you sell automotive parts, our new Automotive Fitment tool is available in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

This tool helps you manage your fitment-specific parts catalogue for vehicles. It enables you to monitor and analyse performance trends, provides visibility into the fitment status of your items and simplifies the process to ingest and manage fitment data.

With the Automotive Fitment tool, you can:

  • Analyse the fitment health of your entire catalogue.
  • Add, edit and delete fitment information individually or in bulk.
  • Verify fitment data consistency across multiple stores.
  • Flag universal products that don’t require compatibility details.
  • Prioritise actions using advanced filters and sorting options.

To access the tool, go to Menu, click Inventory and then Automotive Fitment.

For more information, go to Add fitment information.

How are people finding this?

My experience as someone who actually uses the tool to add fitment:

Positives

  • The new tool is a huge visual improvement over the last tool
  • It's nice to be able to see which Auto Parts do/don't have fitment added

Negatives (sorry but there are a few)

  • The dropdown fitment entry table on the edit/ add fitment page is needlessly far down the page, as a lot of space is wasted by the elements above. This could definitely be cleaned up to avoid scrolling
  • The rows for the table itself take up a lot of height for the data contained in them. For parts with multiple lines of fitment this can be slightly frustrating as the more lines that can be shown on the screen the better
  • Getting rid of the HP / KW / PS columns was a big mistake. This data was often the only way to delineate between two otherwise very similar engine models. This particular change is a big step-back
  • I have added fitment data using this tool for two new products. One using manual entry and the other using a Ktype list using the template. These were both added over a week ago and neither are live yet on the detail page, so I have no idea if this new tool actually works. Seller Support case currently open on this one.

Hoping someone involved with the development of this tool might find some of this useful.

edit: spelling
